Reza Rezvani

Board Member

Reza is the Outreach and Engagement Program Director at the Haas Center for Public Service at Stanford University, where he helps promote and connect students with public service opportunities. He oversees the Cardinal Service Peer Advising team and the Frosh Service Liaison Program. In 2018, he served as Chair of the committee that revised the Haas Center’s Principles of Ethical and Effective Service. In this role, Reza and his team spoke to hundreds of stakeholders – including student organizations, community partners, and faculty to revise and implement these principles.

Reza completed his undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley and received his Ed.M degree in higher education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE), where he explored a myriad of issues, ranging from college affordability to access and retention in higher ed. Prior to HGSE, Reza worked in China, during which he guided high school students through the college application process and worked on an initiative with international schools to create an online mentor-mentee portal for students acclimating to their new university environment in the United States.

In his free time, Reza likes to read non-fiction, travel, hike and spends much of his time exploring the Bay Area. Reza uses public transportation as a way to explore and believes in the importance of good transportation and a safe and walkable city.
